Rabat shore excursion from Casablanca

Your Rabat shore excursion departs from Casablanca pier where you will meet your guide and driver.

Sit back and relax during the 45 minutes drive to Rabat the actual capital of Morocco, and its name in Arabic means the monastic stronghold.

Upon arrival to Rabat, you will start your tour with a visit of the esplanade of the Royal Palace, the official residence of the actual King of Morocco Mohammed VI.

From here you will continue to the fortress of Chellah which was abandoned in the 12th century after it was part of Rabat for mysterious reasons.

Lunch will be served at a typical Moroccan restaurant located in the older part of the city.

After lunch, you will continue your Rabat shore excursion with a visit of Mohamed V Mausoleum, Considered a masterpiece of the Moroccan architecture. It is the resting place of Mohammed V the liberator of Morocco, and the late King Hassan II who built the mausoleum in 1971 to honor his father.

Next to it is Hassan Tower standing among some 12th century ruins of the Mosque, and considered the landark of Rabat.

The last phase of our Rabat shore excursion will be the 17th century Andalusian Gardens of Oudaya Kasbah with its large variety of plants and flowers.

Depending on your embarcation time, we drive back to Casablanca port where your Rabat shore excursion ends.
